Tonight we were saddened to have to bid farewell to Professor Bruno and his awesome grad students, Oliver, Samantha and Rodrigo. These generous scientists have accompanied us on every step of our journey thus far and we can't say enough about how much we learned from them and how much we enjoyed their company!
A few personal notes...
To Professor Bruno: We will never forget you or your countless talents!! We have never known a marine biologist who is also an expert at making bananas flambe and at demonstrating Brazilian Capoeira (a martial art of Afro-Brazilian heritage). You are awesome in a million ways!!
To Samantha: You brilliant and unintimidated female scientist, you are our role model!! Even when you accidentally sat on and crushed the bananas, you were beautiful! We were so sad that we didn't get to say goodbye to you properly! Keep following your dreams and thank you for sharing the peacefulness that comes from the sea with us!!!
To Rodrigo: Thank you for sharing your pizza and your funny personality with us!! You will forever be our favorite Brazilian vegetarian!! You are also an amazing coconut tree climber!! And we don't believe the things that Bruno says about you, don't worry!
To Oliver: You know you are our hero!! Your big smile and big heart are surpassed in greatness only by your big Jelly Fish Tattoo which is the best tattoo in the world! (sorry Rodrigo - we like your dragon as well). Even though your driving scares us, we really like you!!
To the group: We are so, so grateful for your kindness and expertise - what an honor to be with you!! Thank You! You have a second home in Dallas!
And Dr. Scott, a million thanks for bringing us together!!!
Cecily Thanks for the compliments, but everything was done fun because you, Karen and the girls are very cool. It was an experience that we will save for our life. Many thanks. We hope you come back. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteIn 5 days I couldn´t find the best way how to say thanks for the opportunity, the learnings, the pleasure of being with so amazing people, and for the compliments that you made to us. So, I can only hope that a simply and sincere thanks will be enough! Thanks for the wonderful time, the patience and for don't believe the things that Bruno says about me! hehehe have a great trip guys, and come back again as soon as you can!
